Touch Rugby

As a treat for a hard working year we have had Trevor from the Touch Rugby club in to teach us some skills. Trevor has taught years 5-8 multiple skills to use in a game of touch rugby. After learning the proper way to play a full game of touch rugby, today was finally the day we got a chance to play real touch. The boys and girls were split up into two teams, so the boys decide to play first head to head. 10 minutes later the boys took a rest while we finally got to play. We didn't win but at the end of the day I’m happy to know that I know some good Touch Rugby skills.

Adele

Grammy-Award winning Adele was originally born in England. During school Adele used 3 of her own tracks as a class project and that’s when publicity hit her. After a successful career had started Adele had a baby and took time off to look after her new baby boy! For me Adele was a childhood classic! Every morning my siblings and I would have her on replay. We’d sing along even though we would always sound flat.

Pray For Paris!

The World stood as one, as the devastating attack in Paris happened. Referring as the 'City of Light' Paris was under attack by the Isis tourist. Supporters from around the world paid respect by lighting up lights and candles in the colors of red, blue and white. And even our very own Sky Tower. Many people lost their lives and families. I offer my love and support to Parisian that died and the Parisian starting a new life.

Garden Upgrade

Thanks to the Tamaki College students that have taken out the old plants in our garden it's time for a upgrade.  

If there’s any flower that should be planted it should be the Acacia plant. This plant represent peace, love and beauty.  In situations of getting bullied students can walk past this flower and remember that we’re all beautiful in our own way. It commemorates the peace that should be kept in school.

Emoji Now On Keyboards.

Emoji's are popular on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram to reply one word answers or express your feelings. It's normally downloaded into your keyboard or automatically there but imagine emoji's were on keyboards. EmojiWorks the brains between this idea and made the original icons have made keyboard with traditionally numbers, symbols and letters in assorted place but with added emojis. I love this idea but imagine you were texting your mum and you accidentally write something nasty due to the distraction of the emojis.

When school is finish and freedom is around the corner we have different choices for the future. Some want to become a Rugby Player and some want to finish school at High school. Margaret Thome Bekama was focused to drop out of High School at 17 years old to help her ill mother. 80 years later Margaret finally received her diploma at 97 years old.     

Can Taylor Swift SHAKE IT OFF?

Releasing her number one hit single, Taylor Swift thought to write a song about shaking off a bad mood. That song or 'Shake it off' as you may know, stayed number one on the billboard for three weeks. Although the song was catchy can Taylor Swift 'shake off' the fact that she just got sued. R&B singer Jesse Braham sued Taylor Swift using for his words in her song. He says that he has copyright ownership over the line 'haters gonna hate. But in this case is it friends before friendenemys or friendenemys before friends?
 

Plane Ride Gone Wrong

When flight A321 crashed over Egypt it killed everybody on board. Carrying 224 people from Sharm el-Sheikh to St Petersburgs Russia, militants investigated this problem. They believe that airstrikes was the main problem about this disaster. Airstrikes that Russians made to kill citizens of the Syrians Land. Now all we can do is pray for the innocent people that were on Flight A321.
